Who we are

Are you looking for a dynamic course? Do you wish to help others in a non-invasive, caring way? ANYONE can learn Kinesiology to help themselves and others. We are constantly getting requests for practitioners in Cork, Wexford, Carlow, Kerry, Limerick, Galway, Dublin, North Dublin and the Midlands. We need more Kinesiologists in Ireland so if you are seeking something different, are interested in helping others holistically TASK has the course for you. Either try just the first weekend or complete the four level Foundation Course. The Diploma course is available to those wishing to become a professional practitioner.

What is Kinesiology?
Orthodox medicine has specialists to deal with each part of the body. Ear, nose and throat specialists etc. Most complementary practitioners also specialise; acupuncturists deal mainly with the 'chi' energy, physio's, osteopaths and chiropractors the structural realm, for example. Kinesiologists take a holistic approach - they treat the whole person - mind, body, bio-chemistry and energy - not just parts. This highlights the unique position of Kinesiologists, who specialise in dealing with the whole person. The mental, chemical, physical, energetic and environmental are examined, and dealt with simultaneously at each session.

Courses

Foundation Course

The Academy of Systematic Kinesiology in Ireland is proud to offer courses in basic Kinesiology. The Foundation Course is a thorough, practical course in Kinesiology and uses the "Balanced Health" textbook written by Brian Butler. It is an 8 day couse usually run over 4 weekends, one month apart. Occasionally a course may be run differently, such as two 3-day blocks and a 2 day to finish.

2 Year Part-Time Diploma Course in Advanced Kinesiology
The first year course commences with the Orientation Weekend, where students from different areas meet up sometimes for the first time. It offers some new kinesiology techniques including some additional muscle tests and prepares students for the TACT Workshop. The Advanced Communications Workshop (T.A.C.T.) is a seven day residential workshop on specialised unique communication skills, and a lot more new kinesiology techniques. Then there are eight one-day "Modules" run one weekend a month, each of which specialises in demonstrating techniques which will resolve most common ailments. Those who pass the assessments go on to the second year. The first year starts in July each year and finishes in the following March.

The second year weekends focus on Mental, Structural, and Nutritional sections. One seminar includes detailed work on the cranial bones with Cranials expert Gek-Bee Prout. Further seminars include an introduction to Biochemistry, more structural work and information to help the now registered Kinesiologist deal with more difficult cases. The 2nd year is all about improving skills and widening knowledge base; starts in May and finishes in December.

The only pre-requisite to the Diploma is to have completed an ASK-approved Foundation Course in basic Kinesiology in advance. Those wishing to start the TASK Ireland Diploma course who have completed other Kinesiology courses should contact the Academy to discuss their application.

Course Dates:

Belfast course starts: 24-25 January
Dublin course starts: 14-15 February
Limerick course starts: 7-8 March
There are many ways of learning Kinesiology - T.A.S.K. trainers will constantly emphasise that we deal with each person as "A Whole Being".
